About Tim.
Welcome to the online portfolio of Sydney based UX designer Tim Van Martin.
I am currently contracting to NSW Government for the Department of Communities and Justice, working on a project to transform process with the aim of improving efficiency for the Dust and Diseases Tribunal.
From ideation right through to launch, promotion and refining of a product, I will be there working hard to give a product every chance it can get for success.
From brainstorming sessions, sketching concepts, paper prototyping through to UX wireframes and high fidelity UI design, I will take an interface all the way through from inception to production. With a background in graphic design, I’ll make sure it looks good too.
UX Generalist, UX Designer, Interaction Designer, Human Centred Designer, Holistic Designer, Full Stack Designer, Pixel Wizard or UX Unicorn – whatever title floats your boat, I am all those things.
I have 11 years of creative tech industry experience, designing mobile native apps, responsive websites and other digital products. I’ve worked in digital agencies, freelanced, worked in-house and worked for startups in their infancy.
Something I have loved about being a designer is the opportunity work on a broad range of projects across different industries, working on projects in eCommerce, hospitality, trades services, fast food, alcoholic beverages, FMCG, education, pharmaceutical, healthcare, not-for-profit, banking, investment and financial products, fashion retail, consumer electronics and more.
